Easy Raw Chocolate Truffles

Raw Chocolate Pocket Rockets

Guilt free Chocolate Truffle Pocket Rockets!

2 cups dates
1 cup oats
1 cup raw cacao powder (the best by far is by Big Tree Farms)
Pinch of himalayan pink salt/good quality sea salt

Blend ingredients together in a food processor until it binds together into a sticky dough. Add a few more dates (or some honey/coconut nectar) if it needs to bind more. It should look like the picture below.

Blend ingredients into a chocolate dough

Place dough in the freezer or fridge to set for 10 minutes or so to chill. Gives you time to wash up!

Roll the mixture into balls or pat into squares. You decide the size. Decorate with shredded coconut, sesame seeds or cacao nibs. Cinnamon would also work. Or just leave them plain.

Try different flavours too by adding fresh mint, orange zest or vanilla extract to the mix. Add a touch of creaminess with some ripe avocado (blend it up with the rest of the ingredients).

These balls are like rocket fuel. Mixed with the slow releasing energy power of oats, they’ll keep you satisfied for longer. My favourite ingredient IN THE WORLD is cacao. It’s potent – it has over 1500 beneficial compounds. You must buy raw cacao powder to get all of these fantastic nutrients though. As soon as it’s processed into normal cocoa powder, only 5 remain. The main reason I rave about raw cacao is because it tastes so frickin good! And you’ll have a wonderful chocolate high.

Try it. Take your time to eat one of these. Stop and notice what happens in your body when you’ve swallowed it (…oh er). My heart immediately flutters and I can’t help but smile. Yep – cacao contains a natural stimulant called theobromine, giving you a feeling of bliss.
