Almond Cinnamon Muesli

Raw almond cinnamon muesliIs this the most awesome looking breakfast or what?!

I eat it a lot. It’s satisfying, sweet and so versatile. 

1/2 cup soaked almonds (soak them in filtered water before bed and they’ll ready in the morning).

2 apples (small ones will do – try red as they are sweeter)

1 heaped teaspoon of cinnamon

Blend all of the ingredients together (Vitamix will be most effective – a food processor will give you more of a nutty consistency).

Serve in your finest dish, sprinkle with seeds (chia, hemp, sunflower, pumpkin) and some carob/cacao powder. Add dried fruit, goji berries, cacao nibs, buckwheaties, anything that YOU like. Remember, raw food doesn’t have a rule book. Chill. 

It works well with fresh fruit and berries too.

Mmmmmmm. I’m also loving Matcha Tea at the moment. Lily’s Teas Shop does a great one. It’s has more antioxidants and disease fighting properties than a blueberry on steroids.

Almonds are good for energy and have sedating/calming properties.
