Pure Raw Breakfast Smoothie


This smoothie is like a mousse! The flaxseeds helps to thicken the shake effortlessly. It’s substantial and tasty. Carob powder adds the chocolate element without any stimulant touching your lips. This is a fab smoothie if you’re not a fan of banana too.


1 ripe mango

1 handful frozen raspberries 

1 small handful of kale/chard

3 dates

1 tablespoon de shelled hemp seeds

1 heaped teaspoon milled flaxseeds (linseeds)

1-2 heaped teaspoons carob powder 

300 ml filtered water

Ice if desired

Blend all ingredients together in a high powered blender/ Vitamix

Serve in a glass and top with sunflower seeds, dehydrated buckwheat, additional chopped dates etc. Drizzle with raw honey/coconut nectar for more sweetness if you wish.

Enjoy whilst listening to soothing music.

Did you know, carob comes from a seed? It is similar in taste to cacao, which is classed as a nut. Carob is a great substitute to cacao if you’re sensitive to stimulants and/trying to give your adrenals a rest. I highly recommend getting yourself some. Go for a good quality powder as opposed to roasted carob powder. It’s all about flooding your lovely body with those nutrients!
